SFHS - Food Technology (Secondary Specialist Level) - Wednesday 22nd January 2020

Cost: £99 (includes ingredients, £24 certificate fee for the Design & Technology Association and complementary lunch)

Participants must hold a Level 2 food hygiene certificate before completing the course which can be completed online in advance if necessary.

This course will familiarise you with the D&T Association Specialist Food Training Standards. This course is suitable for: everyone who teaches and supports secondary food technology, home economics or catering or who lead cookery clubs or food activities in schools. This includes—teachers, technicians, teaching assistants, trainee teachers, special needs support staff.

The course covers – Management of Food Safety, Fixed Equipment, the Environment, Small Portable Equipment and Temperature Control, Contamination and Allergies. The SFHS accreditation can only be applied for when the delegate has current Level 2 Food Safety certification, evidence will be required on the day. All the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.
